Radiesse
Radiesse is the filler that refuses to stay in its lane. It restores volume the second it's injected, then spends the next several months teaching your skin to rebuild its own collagen. Instant results now, better results later. Your face, but with compound interest.

Radiesse is an injectable filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a mineral your body already knows and trusts. It works in two acts. Act one: immediate volume, lift, and contour the day you walk in. Act two: months of collagen stimulation that firms and thickens your skin from within, long after the gel itself is gone. That double duty makes it our go-to for structure, definition, and areas where skin has started to thin, with results that typically last 12 to 18 months.

Radiesse by Merz Aesthetics is made of smooth calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. The gel delivers the instant lift you see in the mirror on day one. The microspheres stick around as a scaffold that your body builds fresh collagen on, which is why results keep improving for months. Radiesse (+) adds lidocaine to the formula so treatment stays comfortable.
It's FDA approved for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, improving jawline contour, and restoring volume in the backs of the hands. In experienced hands (like ours), it can also be diluted and used off label to improve skin quality in areas like the neck. Your injector will map out exactly where it makes sense for you.
The Gold Protocol
If your neck is the main event, meet the Gold Protocol: Radiesse, a wrinkle relaxer, and dermal filler blended into a single syringe and injected as one treatment, built to hit every layer of neck aging at once. It's the most comprehensive thing we do for necks, and Radiesse is the backbone of it.

Most fillers are hyaluronic acid: they add volume, and that's the whole job. Radiesse adds volume too, but then it keeps working. The CaHA microspheres trigger your body to produce its own collagen, so your skin actually gets firmer and thicker over time. You're not just borrowing volume. You're rebuilding the foundation.

Immediately. You'll walk out with visible lift and contour the same day. Then the sequel kicks in: over the next 2 to 3 months, collagen production ramps up and results keep quietly improving. It's one of the few treatments where the before-and-after gets better with age.
-
Typically 12 to 18 months, though it varies by person and treatment area. And because it stimulates your own collagen, some of that improvement sticks around even after the product itself has metabolized.
-
We use Radiesse (+), which has lidocaine built right into the syringe, and we can layer topical numbing on top. Most patients describe pressure and a few pinches rather than pain. Hands and jawline tend to be the easiest. You'll be fine.
-
Minimal. Expect some swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites for a few days. Most people are back to normal life immediately, just with a slightly convincing "I got great sleep" story. We'll ask you to skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours and go easy on the treated area while it settles.
-
No, and this is worth understanding before you book. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be reversed with an enzyme. Radiesse can't. There are interventions that may partially disperse or reduce it, but there's no true undo button. That's exactly why we're conservative with placement, thorough at consultation, and why Radiesse belongs in the hands of experienced injectors. Ours qualify.
-
It can, especially in the first 1 to 3 months after injection. It's not harmful and doesn't interfere with your care, but give your dentist or doctor a heads up before imaging so nobody plays detective with your scan.
-
Because it doesn't belong there. Radiesse is too structural for lip tissue and can cause nodules in areas with that much movement. For lips, hyaluronic acid filler is the right tool, and we're happy to use it. Right product, right place, every time.

Both are collagen stimulators, so this is a fair fight. Radiesse gives you instant volume plus collagen building. Sculptra skips the instant part and builds gradually over several sessions for a subtler, slower transformation. Structure and definition now: Radiesse. Diffuse volume restoration over time: Sculptra. Plenty of patients end up with both, in different areas, for different jobs. We'll help you pick at your consultation.
-
That depends on your anatomy, your goals, and how much volume time has borrowed. Some patients need one syringe, others benefit from a few placed across different areas. We'll give you an honest number at your consultation, not a sales pitch.
